I recently participated in the GMTK Game Jam 2022 with the theme of Roll of the Dice, and we created Demons & Dice. I was one of the programmers as well as the designer for the game.

Overall I think the game turned out decently. It was decently fun and addicting and I think the concept, while not revolutionary, was decently unique and fit the theme well. The biggest problem with the game is that the art for the game was neither cohesive in style nor complete. The gameplay could also feel a bit unfair due to the heavy incorporation of chance in the game.
Most of the people on the team for this jam I had never worked with before and even so, I think the game turned out really well and communication was decent although there were some issues communicating art direction due to misaligned schedules.
I also used this jam as an opportunity to test out the usability of my procedural tool. Overall the tool performed well although there were a few small bugs.
There were also issues with the art pipeline due to several of the artists not being able to use Unreal. In the future, we should check that the whole team has the correct software downloaded and working before the jam starts.
