This weakened I participated in the 48-hour GameCraft and Crimson Gaming November 2023 Game Jam which had the theme of Agility. For it, we created Rescue Wing, a spaceship piloting game about flinging quickly through a debris field using your grappling hook & boost to rescue people from a station before it explodes.

Overall I think the jam went decently. The game was moderately fun if smaller in scope than we had planned. Our team had 5 people, however, there was little communication between us, and 2 of the people's work never made it into the game final, and only a portion of another person's made it into the game.

Part of the lack of communication was due to a language barrier, and also due to us not meeting in person. However, we still should have communicated more over text and properly listed out & assigned tasks. I also could have given more instructions to the others as to how they could get their own stuff into the game.

As for our shrunken scope, we had planned to implement a 2nd level, but we never did due to a lack of assets and time to make it fun. This meant that I also wasted some time implementing features for the 2nd level that never made it into the game, and that time could have been spent helping with asset creation.
