Immunity Wars

This week I did a lot more general housekeeping and bug-fixing for the project. One of the things I spent a good amount of time on was reorganizing the entire project since it had become quite a mess with inconsistent naming and folders. I reorganize the whole project into folders based on discipline (artists, designers, sound designers/composers, and programmers), utilizing Godot's folder coloring to make it even easier to read at a glance.

Before After

I also did a bunch of general UX improvements like adding controls for selecting the next unit, auto panning, skipping turns, and enemy turn speed options.

I also started doing level and balancing this week, though the levels are barely balanced as in the process of making them I discovered a host of bugs.

Misc. Side Projects

This week I started to work properly on a short film/machinima that I am with a team in UE5 for one of my classes. The premise is basically "The Tortoise and the Hare" told using spec ops soldiers completing a mission instead of animals racing. I set up the initial background environment of an overgrown abandoned city at night using asset packs and the megascan library.
