This weekend I participated in the Gamecraft February 2023 Jam which had a theme of "Three's a Crowd." For this jam, my team and I made Moon Crossed Lovers, a physics-based celestial body dating sim. I was the sole coder and VFX artist for this game.

Overall I think that the game turned out well. The game looked good, was feature complete, and quite fun if a bit on the chaotic side. Though the game was lacking sound and was more difficult than we would have liked though it was by no means impossible to beat.
The idea for the game came fairly quickly and was perfectly scoped for the time we had, as the core gameplay finished within the first 16 hours of the jam. This was much faster than expected as physics systems usually are stubbornly uncooperative, and as an added bonus the gameplay was more fun than expected meaning that we had time to polish instead of finding the fun.
The two core problems with the game were primarily a result of our smaller team size as we had no one with any experience in music or SFX, and there was no one who could dedicate enough time to balance the various gravities, masses, abilities, and other factors in order to make the game easier while maintaining the chaotic feel we were aiming for.
